Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 15, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SoloBio (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our website, Studio, and client booking pages (the “Service”). This document is provided for early-stage product transparency and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified attorney.
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers (a) freelancers who configure a page in SoloBio Studio, and (b) visitors who open a shared booking page.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use SoloBio, we may process:
- Account data from our auth provider (Clerk), such as email and sign-in method (e.g. Google).
- Profile & page data you enter (name, bio, avatar URL, location, timezone, payment labels, booking/payment links for Calendly, Acuity, Stripe, or PayPal, optional portfolio or testimonials, and your chosen slug).
- Usage data such as page views and pay-button clicks on published booking pages.
- Client & order data created when you connect event webhooks (e.g. Calendly, Acuity, Stripe) or add orders manually — typically name, email, service, amount, schedule date, and status — used for your inbox, orders, confirmations, and reminders.
- Contact & feedback you submit via our contact form (name, email, message), and inquiry messages visitors send from your public page.
- Technical data when we host SoloBio — IP address, browser type, device type, and CDN/server logs.
- Cookies required for authentication and security (Clerk). We also use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand traffic sources and page usage so we can improve SoloBio. We do not use advertising cookies to sell your data.
We do not ask clients to enter card numbers on SoloBio. Payments are completed on Stripe or PayPal. Scheduling happens on Calendly or Acuity.
3. What we do not secretly collect
We do not sell personal information. When you enable the event bridge, we receive booking or payment event payloads you configure (via webhook or Zapier) so we can create orders and send confirmations on your behalf. We do not scrape client emails from Calendly, Acuity, Stripe, or PayPal for marketing beyond that workflow.
4. How we use information
- To generate, host, and display your booking page
- To sync bookings/payments you connect into orders and client records, and to send related confirmation, reminder, or follow-up emails
- To operate, secure, and improve the Service
- To communicate with you about the product
- To comply with legal obligations
5. Third-party services
- Clerk — authentication
- Supabase — database hosting
- Vercel — application hosting
- Calendly or Acuity — scheduling
- Stripe or PayPal — payment processing
- Resend — transactional email (confirmations, reminders)
Those providers process data under their own policies. You (the freelancer) are responsible for configuring Calendly, Acuity, Stripe, and PayPal correctly and lawfully for your clients.
6. Data retention
We retain account and page data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for backups, disputes, or legal requirements.
7. Your choices
You may update your page in Studio, stop using the Service, or request deletion of hosted account data by contacting us.
8. Children
SoloBio is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
